And more specifically - WHY a Leica M10

I was running a street photography workshop in Ipswich, Suffolk recently and was asked, "why do you use a Leica?" I gave an answer about quality, simplicity and size but I've since given the subject more thought and wanted to explain.
Since my first "real" camera back in 1990, a Pentax ME Super, I've searched for and bought "better" cameras. Once I started my Wedding Photography business in 2014 I've believed that it's my duty to use the best gear I can to give my clients the best photos I can.
No surprise that I've had a lot of cameras!
From the Nikon D200 which I started with to my current Nikon Z6iii newer has meant better.
AND THATS where the Leica is unique
There's no "need" for a "better" camera - I don't need more than it's 24 megapixels or more than 5 frames a second. I can live with the centre spot exposure metering. Think of a TourdeFrance racing bike. There's nothing that doesn't serve a purpose. Everything from the pedals to the saddle is there to do it's job and nothing more.
Likewise with the Leica M10

My Nikon Z6iii has about 30 pages in the menu whereas the Leica M10 has just 2.
It's Simple
This, when you understand, makes photography more of an artform.
It makes you "SEE" and "create" rather than look and snap.
Is the Leica M10 Perfect? No, but I can live with it's imperfections to gain a tool that allows me to become a better photographer.
